SQL is a database language which is used to create a database and perform operations on the existing database. A database is a systematic collection of data which supports storage and manipulation of data.
Databases make data management easy.
Database Management System (DBMS) is a collection of programs which helps in reporting & representation of data along with database access to users, allowing them to manipulate data.
Also, DBMS helps to control user access to the database.
The special type of DBMS called Relational DBMS, defines database relationships in the form of tables Examples: MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server database.
RDBMS does not support many to many relationships. Relational DBMS usually have pre-defined data types that they can support.
